NEW YORK -- Home Dynamix will debut several new rug lines in collaboration with New York muralist and artist RJ Raizk, at its 295 Fifth Avenue showroom, suite 605, at next week's New York Home Fashions Market .

The New York-based Raizk has become known for his graphic murals that can be found in some of Manhattan's best hot spots and hotels, including the Tribeca Grand Hotel. Home Dynamix translates the artist's micro-patterns (including his well-known coral and angled lines patterns) into contemporary rugs by means of new production techniques.

"I'm excited for the introduction of our new RJ Raizk line. I knew as soon as I saw one of his murals, that RJ's work was one-of-a-kind and there was nothing like it in the home décor industry," said Yuval Evar, executive vice president at New Jersey-based Home Dynamix. At market Raizk will meet and greet buyers during the company's party celebrating his line, new Elle Decor scatter rugs and other introductions on Tuesday, March 28, from 6:00 p.m.

"At the sneak peeks we've done so far, the reception has been really amazing," said Donna Arbietman, VP marketing, Home Dynamix.  "Buyers love it because these are more than just rugs -- they are actual art. I expect the collection to be sold everywhere that Home Dynamix rugs are sold, both online retailers and bricks and mortar stores."
Arbietman continued, "I think a lot of people are going to repurpose these rugs as art and put them on their walls rather than on the floor. RJ's designs are extremely interesting; they are mesmerizing to look at, really, because of the intricate geometric patterns that seem to be going on and on. This is what RJ is famous for in his art: one continuous line going throughout the piece. It's so interesting to look at. He is really fantastic."
The Luminescence collection translates Raizk's black and white murals with splashes of turquoise blues, creams, and tans. Luminescence area rugs are specially woven for a metallic, silver-foil effect that highlights Raizk's artwork. Crafted of polyester with jute backing the rugs are offered in 6'6" x 8'2" at an MSRP of $579.99.
The Minerva collection features plush, luxurious chenille rugs that feel ultra-luxe and cozy underfoot. RJ's modern designs are accentuated through an embossing effect that gives these rugs a three-dimensional look, giving the graphic patterns the perfect pop. MSRP for the 31" X 50" is $94.99; 5'2" X 7''2" is $284.99; and 7'10" X 10'2" is $629.99.
"The Minerva collection is constructed really uniquely. It's not just a typical rug -- it is super luxe; it's chenille. But the design is actually embossed over the chenille rug to give it a three dimensional feel," explains Home Dynamix product manager, Monadel Maneja. "The Luminescence has some silver and gold leaf or metallic in it so his designs pop with the contrasting color and the metallic."
Home Dynamix products can be found at retail outlets such as Home Depot, Sam's Club, Bed Bath & Beyond, Home Goods, Overstock and Wayfair.
