NEW YORK -- Hand-knot atelier S&H Rugs will feature a number of fresh designs in fashion-driven color combinations at the upcoming NY Now show at the Javits, Feb. 3-6.

In fact, the top palettes for 2019 on show at the S&H booth (2568) include grays and cool blues, sometimes with a swipe of an unexpected vibrant hue. "Pops of colors are an upcoming trend that we always like and continue to develop," said Ori Wilbush, president and founder, pointing out that yellows, golds and oranges are warming up more neutral tones.

"But the grays and cool blues are still going strong - they are always best-sellers," he continued.

Among the New Jersey-based company's most sought after styles are modern designs, including high-low abstract area rugs crafted of wool and silk and mosaic-inspired motifs, also hand-knotted of wool and silk. In addition, geometrics culled from classic tribal looks in gray and blue combinations remain popular as well.

For winter 2019, S&H Rugs anticipates its updated Tabriz designs of silk and oxidized wool (shown, SH44216) in up-to-date color combinations will continue to be hits with NY Now shoppers.

"We mainly participate in NY Now to see the designers and decorators we already work with, but we also expect to meet and start to work with new clients as well," Wilbush said. "Our rug designers are doing an incredible job with fantastic and new color combinations, so the show is also a great opportunity to check the reception and reaction to those latest looks -- and also how new designs can be improved or changed if at all."

At S&H Rugs, modern and contemporary designs are still going strong, and new color palettes, such as ivory and banana yellow, keep the look fresh. Shown, the high-low pile wool and silk abstract design SH44620

"Hand-knotted rugs are our business and passion, and when we meet people in person we can show them the difference and feel versus the imitations and power-loomed rugs, which are around more than ever in much lower price points," Wilbush said.

S&H Rugs is featuring denim tones in its latest looks such as the high-low wool and silk abstract design SH44418.

Reworking classic motifs in modern colors, S&H Rugs' refreshing and vibrant flower design (SH44220) is hand-knotted of Sari silk.
