SAFAVIEH BOOSTS U.S. CAPACITY WITH NEW SAVANNAH WAREHOUSE

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. -- Safavieh is building a new 500,000 square foot warehouse in Savannah, Ga., increasing its total capacity in the U.S. to accommodate projected growth. "We broke ground two months ago, and expect the warehouse to be operational by the end of 2016 or early 2017. The new facility will be customized for rugs and furniture, and is a supplement to our existing warehouse space in Savannah," said Cyrus Yaraghi, a Safavieh principal.

"We continue to increase our facilities across the U.S. to provide better service to the consumer. The expansion of our operations into the south as well as other parts of the U.S. is a key part of our long term plan because it assures that our customers will receive Safavieh products faster and at lower prices. "

Safavieh purchased a 730,000 square feet warehouse in Clinton, N.J., in late 2014 and another New Jersey facility, a 600,000-square foot warehouse in 2015. The company added warehouses in Savannah and Antwerp, Belgium, in 2012 to its list of facilities in Port Washington, Easton, Penn., and Fontana, Calif.
