MUST-SEE CONTEMPORARY DESIGNS AT THE SUMMER 2018 RUG SHOW NY

NEW YORK -- With 50-plus of the world's top area rug makers on show at the upcoming Rug Show New York, top retailers and designers on the hunt for the latest looks in luxury rugs have plenty of options to choose from.

The annual event, held from Aug. 25-28 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, features thousands of the best in handmade rugs in a broad range of popular styles from modernized Persians to painterly motifs. Abstract area rugs, available in varied mix of styles and colors from carnation pink and plum to copper and charcoal, prove a visual counterpoint to subdued antiques or tailored geometrics. Often featuring a rich texture and fine materials, such as wool and silk, the latest crop of abstracts prove a showpiece in any interior.
