VEGAS MARKET PAVILIONS LINE UP RETURNING VENDORS SUMMIT, ELIKO

Summit Rug returns to the Pavilions with a larger space to showcase its mid-century Scandinavian designs, shown, and modern abstract designs.

LAS VEGAS -- Las Vegas Market lines up two returning New York area rug vendors, Summit and Eliko, both expanding their booth at the market's Pavilions.

Eliko, which debuted in Vegas earlier this year at the January market, returns to the Pavilions with a 200 square foot space (P1-3217) double in size of its inaugural booth earlier this year. Likewise, Summit Rugs, a relative newcomer to the rug industry wholesale circuit, has attended three prior Vegas markets, and moves locations to a larger area (P1-3511).

Eliko, which returns for a second show, offers shoppers some feminine twists to the classic ivory Moroccan designs. Shown is a design from the Vintage Moroccan collection.

"This Is our second show in Las Vegas," said Ariel Basalely, director of sales and operations
at the Madison Avenue showroom Eliko Antique & Decorative Rugs. "We go [to Vegas] because there is always room for improvement from previous markets and there is always new unique product to show.

"Our booth size has doubled this market. Last time was only samples and a few antiques this time we have about 70 one-of-a-kind pieces to show, which range in age, style, and size."

Eliko also will present designs from its Vintage Rag Rug collection.

New Jersey-based Summit Rug, which began targeting the wholesale and to-the-trade buyer about three years ago, has participated in several Vegas markets and moves to a larger space, also 200 square feet, for the summer edition, Kazem Fatahi said. He will offer Vegas shoppers a chance to see the companies recently introduced collection of mid-century Scandinavian designs as well as new modern abstracts.
