Port Washington, N.Y. -- Rug and furniture retailer Safavieh Home Furnishings has donated a truckload of sofas, tables, consoles and chairs (retail value $45,000) to The Salvation Army in time for the holidays. "Thanksgiving is a very special time to spend with friends and families, and Safavieh donated furniture to help bring families and friends together for these special celebrations," said Michael Yaraghi, president of Safavieh Home Furnishings.
John Parisi, director of operations for The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers of Long Island said, "We have a saying here at The Salvation Army: 'Help us help others.' And certainly Mr. Michael Yaraghi of Safavieh Home Furnishings has done it again with another very generous donation, which will go a long way in providing assistance to those in need."
