COURISTAN WINS DESIGN EXCELLENCE
AWARD FOR OUTDOOR CATEGORY
Couristan Design Excellence Award |
FORT LEE, NJ -- Couristan, Inc. has been awarded
the International Casual Furnishings Association (ICFA) Design Excellence Award
in the Outdoor Carpeting, Rugs and Flooring category. The award was presented to Couristan on
Tuesday, September 16, 2014. Ronald
Couri, president and chief executive officer, and Amy Chato-Conlon, product development and design director, were there to
accept the award on Couristan's behalf.
Couristan's winning design, Ariatta/navy, is
part of the Covington collection. The
collection features indoor/outdoor area rugs hand hooked of fiber-enhanced
Courtron polypropylene that are water, mold and mildew resistant.
Entrants for the Design Excellence
competition were exhibitors at the ICFA Market in Chicago. Submitted designs were to have been
introduced in the market within the last year and represent excellent design
and product innovation. The Design Excellence judging took place on August 28
in Chicago.
