SURYA WINS 2015 MANUFACTURER ICFA LEADERSHIP AWARD FOR
OUTDOOR RUGS

Surya will display its coordinated outdoor line at the
Casual Market Chicago, where the company will receive
the ICFA 2015 Manufacturer Leadership award for design
and quality of outdoor rugs.

High Point, NC - The International Casual Furnishings Association
announced its 2015 Manufacturer Leadership Awards on September 2,
following an online vote of ICFA's retail, designer and supplier
membership. Surya won in the Outdoor Carpeting/Rugs/Flooring category,
and with winners in nine other categories, will receive a crystal trophy
on September 16 on the opening day of Casual Market Chicago.
This
year's IFCA Leadership Awards honored one manufacturer in each of 10
categories for the overall design and quality of their products, along
with their merchandising, customer service, ethics, communications and
trade relations. From the 10 category winners, a single Manufacturer of
the Year was also selected in online voting and will be announced at the
ICFA Awards Gala on Friday, September 18, at the Field Museum in
Chicago.
"We are
honored to be selected by ICFA members for this important recognition,"
Seth King, vice president of sales, Surya told RugNews.com, explaining
that outdoor retailers have a different business model from traditional
furniture retailers, and they experience different challenges. "To help
casual retailers successfully promote and sell outdoor rugs and
accessories, we knew we needed to approach things in a different way in.
So, we rolled up our sleeves and developed a program specifically
tailored to their unique needs."
The
program, says King, includes offering a full range of merchandising and
display solutions and pre-packaged vignettes. "We wanted to make it easy
to sell not only rugs, but pillows, lighting, poufs and everything else
needed to create coordinated outdoor spaces. We also hired a dedicated,
outdoor-focused sales team to support these retailers in building a
strong rug and accessories program." Surya's coordinated outdoor range
will be on display at booth 7-3088 at the Casual Market Chicago.

In
addition to the Manufacturer Leadership Awards, the International Casual
Furnishings Association will hold a September 18 gala in Chicago,
drawing together all segments of the outdoor furnishings industry to
recognize and celebrate top retail stores, manufacturers and sales
representatives. Products receiving Design Excellence Awards also will
be spotlighted, along with the two new Lilly Awards for Outdoor
Furniture and Outdoor Accents plus the Lillian B. Winchester "Best of
Show" design award.
