NEW YORK -- Visitors to the 2018 Kips Bay Decorator Show House were first to see designs from The Rug Company's inaugural indoor outdoor performance rug collection, which officially debuts worldwide in the rug maker's showrooms and website on June 1.
The Kips Bay Show House, open from May 1- May 31 at 110 East 76 Street in Manhattan, showcases rugs from the new Endurance Collection by The Rug Company and Perennials in an outdoor garden terrace by Nievera Williams Design, one of the leading landscape architectural firms in the country.
The Endurance Collection by The Rug Company is a brand new collection of luxurious performance rugs made to withstand any environment. Whether for use outdoors or inside the home, these handmade rugs are highly durable, and feature the unique Perennials manufacturing techniques, which also provide fade and stain resistance.
Each flat weave rug is made by skilled artisans using Perennials Fabrics' yarn, a 100 percent solution-dyed acrylic fiber technology that allows the colors to permeate the yarn to the core.
Retails range from $1,988 for a 7'6" x 5' (or $53 per square foot). The Neutra and Netura Mint designs featured in the show house retail at $72 per square foot.
The graphic rugs anchor the whimsical design of Nievera Williams's garden terrace, which was inspired by Schumacher's Citrus Garden fabric by Josef Frank and features tropical plantings reminiscent Palm Beach as well as fanciful topiaries.
