Rugnews.com Executive Session:
BAMBOO SILK OFFERS LUXURY LOOK
AT AFFORDABLE PRICE POINTS

NATICK, MA -- The luxury home market is on the rise. Consumers are starting to put more thought into the smallest details of their homes, no longer just focusing on the look of the items in the home but also the materials.

However, the fact of the matter is we can't all afford the finest home furnishings, and that is why more affordable and yet luxurious materials are becoming so trendy.

We have noticed a particular rise in the popularity of bamboo silk, which is unsurprising considering its extreme softness, luxurious sheen, tear-resistant, fine fibers, and its affordability.

While bamboo silk is smooth and shiny like its pricier counterpart, traditional silk, it also boasts some of the best traits of cotton rugs. For example, unlike regular silk, bamboo silk stays cool to the touch because it breathes well. These rugs are also perfect for allergy sufferers, as the material is hypoallergenic and antimicrobial.

With so many benefits, it might seem surprising that bamboo silk is affordable. However, when you understand the nature of bamboo, it makes a little more sense. Bamboo is very easy to grow, and it does so incredibly fast. In fact, some bamboo grows up to three feet in one day!

It is easy to maintain. Bamboo does not have to be replanted  when it is cut down and does not require pesticides. Without pesticides, bamboo is less expensive to grow and healthier for both the consumer and the environment.

We are always looking for ways to keep our inventory trendy and relevant to all of our customers. For that reason, we love to find materials like bamboo silk, which offer our customers all of the comforts of high-end materials without the price tag.
