04012015 NIBA Names Boutell San Francisco Atelier Manager

SAN FRANCISCO - Kendra Boutell has been named manager of NIBA Collections San Francisco Atelier, where she will work with design professionals to create custom solution for decorative rugs, according to Beth Arrowood, chief executive officer and creative director of the company. 

Arrowood said the 1,500 sq. ft. Atelier was opened in December, 2014 to serve the needs of design professionals with bespoke hand-made rugs. "In selecting Boutell as Atelier Manager, NIBA Collections further acknowledges the importance of the Bay Area interior design and architecture community," Arrowood explained. 

"Boutell's extensive professional career is focused on selling, marketing and writing about luxury home furnishings.  As an editor-at-large for California Homes magazine since 2009, Boutell has established relationships with the state's leading architects and interior designers. Her familiarity with their work provides valuable insight for her new role with NIBA Collections.

Boutell has prior showroom experience with Shading by VIA, Ed Hardy and Therien & Co. "Boutell's appreciation for bespoke home décor and her knowledge of the high level of detail necessary to successfully realize the creation of customized product are an unbeatable combination. Our San Francisco Atelier is truly open for business and poised for the forthcoming introduction of new collections."

NIBA Collections works with craftspeople in India and Nepal to source fibers and oversee the handmade process of making bespoke rugs. The Atelier is located on the third floor of the Bennett Lofts at 1001 Mariposa Street in San Francisco. Assistant sales manager Rob Watermeyer continues in his role and will report to Boutell.
