WHITE PLAINS, NY -- Bonnie Higgins has been appointed merchandise manager for Trans Ocean Inc., according to Charles Peck, president.
Higgins, a long-time retail buyer, began her career in the executive training program at Carson Pirie Scott & Co.'s State St. store in Chicago. She was later the rug buyer for Spiegel's for many years. After leaving Spiegel's, she was with FTD.com for several years.
Her new duties with Trans-Ocean include responsibilities for inventories, production and working with Internet retailers. She will be headquartered in Chicago.
"I am thrilled to be back in the rug industry," said Higgins.
