NEW YORK -- When the Rug Show New York opens at the Javits Center on August 25, exhibitors will present striking directional fashion statements with designs based on traditional motifs, many around for millenniums.
Whether they borrow from tribal designs or formal Persian classics, top names in designer carpets from Jurgen Dahlmanns of Germany to Luke Irwin of Great Britain will present their own provocative takes on ages-old icons.
