01042018 Zollanvari Heads To Domotex 2018 Brimming with New Designs
ZOLLANVARI HEADS TO DOMOTEX 2018 BRIMMING WITH NEW DESIGNS
Zollanvari will showcase its latest assortment at Domotex, including the new Anar (pomegranate) collection developed by Vienna studio, NOV24. Shown, Derakhte Anar.

HANNOVER, Germany -- Zollanvari returns to Domotex, running from Jan. 12-15, with a new stand location, C24, in  the fair's newly reconfigured Hall 9.

At the 30th edition of Domotex, the award-winning international company has been nominated for the prestigious Carpet Design Awards 2018 in two categories: Best Flatweave Design for its Fluidity collection and Best Modern Design Superior with the Snakeskin 1 design (read more).

"I want to offer something different... I want to create something new," said Reza Zollanvari, group managing director of Zollanvari International and its chief design principal. Visitors to the Zollanvari stand will be able to view the newest of their carpet production -- including the tribal, classical, retro and luxurious contemporary designs from southern Persia, as well as glamorous designs of the Kundan collections made in India.

Domotex 2018 will not only present a new exhibition layout that is set to provide better orientation and a superior market overview for visitors, but for the first time the show will also boast the keynote theme "UNIQUE YOUNIVERSE". The Carpet Design Awards (CDA 2018) will form part of this presentation at the heart of Hall 9, which will house inspiring and creatively staged display zones by exhibitors, artists and budding young designers.
Anar Collection's Full Debut
 
Zollanvari will unveil its Anar (pomegranate) collection developed by NOV24, an up-and-coming design studio in Vienna.  Fond memories of anar trees, as well as those from numerous travels to Iran over the years, have informed NOV24's thought process and Zollanvari's production creativity in developing designer carpets around the pomegranate as a common motif. (read full story).

Graffiti from the Abstract & Plain Gabbehs Collection

Zollanvari showcase Graffiti 13 at Domotex 2018.

The Graffiti line from Gabbehs Abstract & Plain takes inspiration from ancient Gabbehs -- pile rugs traditionally used as bedding and characterized by a playful geometric abstract design.

Kundan Wool & Silk Collection Zollanvari highlights this Kundan design featuring stylized cloud bands and cartouches.

Zollanvari's Kundan collection embodies the harmonious relationship between nature and interior,s drawing inspiration from the four elements.The rugs are overdyed with layers of translucent color, creating a very unique multidimensional, shimmering texture. The new Kundan Wool & Silk line combines classical motifs with a highly contemporary aesthetic in on-trend colors.

Kyoto from the Abstract & Plain Gabbehs Collection

Zollanvari's Japanese textile-inspired Kyoto collection's Jagged design will be on show in Germany.

Debuted last year at Domotex and introduced to U.S. buyers at The Rug Show New York in September 2017 (read full story), the Kyoto collection is now complete and will be presented in its entirety at Domotex 2018. The collection looks east to Japan, using contemporary Japanese textiles as inspiration, and pushes the boundaries of contemporary designer carpet weaving in Iran.

Other Highlights:
Zollanvari introduces Marbled Polka Dots 1 from the Designer Isfahan collection.
Other highlights will include: two brand new collections, Animal Skins, with original designs that find inspiration in animal skins and pelts, and Ellipse, a 'retro' inspired creation harking back to 60s and 70s textile patterns so much in fashion again today. Also new: Marbled Polka Dots and new Vase and Floral Cartouches creations from the Designer Isfahan collection; playful and naïve Gabbehs from Landscapes of my Fatherland; Pluma from the Kundan Pure Silk collection; Abstract Cypresses, Confetti Cracker, Reflections in Orange 1 and new Erratic Tiles designs from the company's diverse Gabbehs collections; Cypress Trees in a Grove, reminiscent of fine traditional Persian Miniature paintings, and several new additions to the Into the Woods line, namely Woodland in Spring and Woodland on a Squares Revisited Ground from the Transitional collections. Domotex shoppers will also see new vibrant Jajims and Mafrash chests and tables in new shapes and sizes from the Home Décor collection.

The brand new, retro-inspired Ellipse collection debuts at Domotex 2018.
