High Point, NC -- International luxury decorative furnishing brand Christopher Guy (CG) celebrated the grand opening of its new flagship location on April 22, 2017 at High Point Spring Market.

Designed by award-winning visionary and CG founder, Christopher Guy Harrison, in partnership with International Market Centers (IMC), the 20,000 square foot state-of-the-art building is the first purpose-built showroom to be constructed at High Point Market since 2005. At a cost of more than $6 million, the stunning two-floor architecture is a reflection of Christopher Guy's timeless designs, and marks one of the most significant undertakings by CG in the USA.

Brand creator Christopher Guy Harrison, said: "When I launched Christopher Guy in 2007, I established two goals: the first was to create products that had a certain Chanel or Dior-esque spirit, and furthermore to one day seek a location in the very heart of High Point, the epicenter of the US furniture industry."

Robert Maricich, Chief Executive Officer, International Market Centers (IMC), said "This new showroom is more than just a building. It is a catalyst for what's new and what's next. High Point Market is 107 years old, and the creation of this showroom confirms its position as the home for the home furnishings industry for the next 100 years ahead."

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper said, "High Point is the place to be for furniture and furniture manufacturing. High Point is North Carolina's window to the world for furniture."

High Point Councilman Jay Wagner said, "This is the first new market-specific building constructed in High Point since 2005. It is a testament to the commitment, growth and health of the High Point Market. High Point is recognized as the furniture capital of the world and we are proud that Christopher Guy chose to add this jewel of a showroom here in High Point."
