Andy Hilfiger joined Rizzy Home at its High Point showroom launch party last night for the official opening of the Andrew Charles collection to a broad base of customers.
In honor of the line's expansion to include 14 hand-tufted rugs, nine bedding designs, 29 pillows, nine shower curtains, 11 window panels, as well as its opening to a broad base of retailers, Hilfiger - who is also a bass guitarist and has toured with members of the Ramones, Kid Rock, and Blue Oyster Cult - gave a special performance at the Rizzy showroom with a group aptly named for a textiles venue: the "Loom-ineers."
Many of the designs in the Andrew Charles collection crafted by Rizzy Home have a rock-star-inflected vibe, with pillows for example embellished with skulls, stars and glitter. Rugs in the collection have stripes or stars for a hip take on Americana, that is reminiscent of Tommy Hilfiger USA's bold use of iconic American colors and symbols. All products in the Rizzy line have been designed by Andy Hilfiger and his wife Kim.
