KAS RUGS HAS HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR NEW YORK HOME FASHIONS & HIGH POINT MARKETS

Kas Rugs introduces New York Home Fashions shoppers to its latest on-trend collections, including the metallic flecked Montreal collection, pictured.

NEW YORK -- Kas Rugs carefully tailors its assortment of area rugs to appeal to the buyers attending fall markets, starting with New York Home Fashions Market, kicking off September 24.

In fact, the company is highlighting several collections that it expects to tick all the right boxes with retailers shopping its showroom at 295 Fifth Ave., suite 819.

"We are anticipating retailers will be looking for a fresh, new and innovative products and great price points!" Wendy Reiss, vice president of sales and national accounts, told RugNews.com. "And we're excited to show them what we have to offer this fall."

In New York, where Kas has its smallest showroom, the company carefully curates what it will showcase based on the buyers attending. "The majority [of NY buyers] make appointments and have focused buys in mind. The show attracts a lot of big box buyers, who often don't have a lot of time to spend in each showroom and who often have specific objectives they are trying to achieve. We  make sure we are paying close attention to these objectives and are ready with focused presentations.

"Also, we do see a number of regional buyers as well, so based on when we saw them last we make sure to have product in that is new and fits their style."

For New York, the collections being presented feature a variety of constructions and styles from casual hooked rugs in tonal color palettes to bold hand-tufted florals to luxe metallic-inflected transitional looks and inviting plush shags. What's more, these collections are just now in stock and are ready to ship for the fall and holiday selling season.

"These collections fit a good/better/best strategy that many retailers can relate to for their floors," Reiss added, noting that kas will also present its new license program with Hang Ten (read more) to NY buyers.  "We always have great appointments lined up for New York market, and our meetings turn out to be successful for us and our customers. As of right now, we're anticipating another great fall NY market."

Kas anticipates the fall momentum will continue to High Point, where the company plans a design seminar with Libby Langdon, a trend party in collaboration with Hang Ten, and "many, many great new designs," she continued.
