SAFAVIEH ANNOUNCES ALADDIN LICENSING AGREEMENT WITH DISNEY

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. -- Safavieh LLC, a leading manufacturer, distributor and retailer of area rugs and home furnishings, announces its licensing agreement with Disney for the creation and distribution of the Safavieh Collection inspired by Disney's live action film Aladdin, and the classic designs to be featured in the Safavieh Collection inspired by the animated film.

These new collections of kid's room decor will debut online at Safavieh.com and at select Safavieh retail partners in conjunction with the upcoming release of Disney's live action, feature film Aladdin. "We are extremely happy to have been selected by Disney as their co-branding partner for this fun, decorative line of home furnishings for kids and Aladdin fans of all ages," said Arash Yaraghi, Safavieh principal. "Our goal in designing these products was to capture the vibrant spirit and enchanting imagery that moviegoers will experience in Disney's presentation of the fantastic adventures of these timeless characters."
Safavieh is a world renowned brand in the home furnishings industry, so its partnership with Disney in creating rugs, lighting and mirrors to help celebrate the launch of Disney's Aladdin is a great fit for both organizations. The Safavieh Collection inspired by Disney Aladdin, and the Safavieh Collection inspired by Disney's live action film Aladdin, will include area rugs, a selection of lighting, and mirrors.
The area rugs will be offered in a variety of designs with character rugs for kids' bedrooms and playrooms depicting Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, the Big Blue Genie, a replica rug of Aladdin's famous Magic Carpet, and other lifestyle designs. These Safavieh rugs will be power loomed using durable synthetic yarns with a non-skid latex backing for the ultimate in kid-friendly decor.
