KAS ADDS NEW WEAVES, ROLLS OUT MULTI-CHANNEL STRATEGY IN VEGAS

 KAS adds a series of modern painterly designs to its best-selling    Generations series, shown in a closeup of the brushstroke motif .

LAS VEGAS -- Retailers will find plenty of fresh fashion at the KAS Rugs showroom (B-175) at this week's Las Vegas Market. Summer 2017 introductions span an array of new weaves and price points, including a new collection created specifically for the Internet channel.

 
Generations, which KAS launched earlier this year in erased-look classic designs, has expanded with abstract patterns due to customer demand. 
 
The Generations collection hit the market running earlier this year, launching with traditional distressed designs that have been so successful, retailers asked for more looks to appeal to a larger consumer audience. The line is machine-woven in Turkey of polyester and viscose with a high/low textured effect.
 
"Generations is one of our best-selling collections right now -- it continues to sell and sell," said Wendy Reiss, vice president of sales and national accounts, KAS Rugs. "We've added about 10 new designs based on customer requests for a few more contemporary and transitional styles," she explained.
 
An Atlanta best-seller, the new Luxe shag collection is step-up range to the company's hugely successful Bliss line of colorful shag rugs. "Everyone loved the Luxe collection, a brand new, super-soft shag made of micro-fiber and polysilk. It's our next-generation to Bliss, which has been our number-one product for years," Reiss said.

KAS expands its well-received new hand-loomed category with the addition of the Indulge collection at summer markets. Indulge is hand-woven of 100 percent random-cut viscose with watercolor effects. The company also adds new designs to Whisper, a hand-tufted premium wool range which focuses on abstract watercolor looks as well.

E-commerce buyers will want to see Dreamweaver, a 100 percent polypropylene collection created specifically for the internet channel, which debuted to much success at Atlanta rug market earlier this month. Machine-made in Turkey, the range showcases fun patterns and bright colors designed to pop retail on websites.
 
 
The Cortico collection from KAS offers knobby weaves and new sweater looks handwoven of New Zealand wool.
 
Also new for summer is the Mosaic collection of designs inspired by classic Mediterranean tiles and mosaics and machine-woven of multi-textured polyester. Fresh sweater and menswear patterns are added to the popular Cortico collection of 100 percent New Zealand wool, a handwoven line of sweater looks and knobby weaves in fashion neutrals.
