RUG MAKERS AMADI & GAN WIN IFDA SELECTS AWARDS AT ICFF

Recognized for its "show-stopping" exhibit space at ICFF, Amadi Carpets was presented with the IFDA Selects Award for Innovative Booth Design featuring its decorative carpets and textiles.

NEW YORK - The New York chapter of The International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) presented its IFDA Selects awards in 10 categories at ICFF last week, with Amadi Carpets and Gan among the Best in Show winners.

Los Angeles-based Amadi Carpets received the IFDA Selects award for Innovative Booth Design for decorative carpets and textiles, presented by judge Awanda Booth. Located at a main entrance to the show floor, the shared exhibit space seamlessly integrated rugs from Amadi in a series of vignettes with high-end Verellen upholstered furniture, and lighting from M2C Studio. Amadi and Verellen began showing together in High Point in 2015 to present their products in lifestyle settings.

Gan, the indoor division of Spain's Gandia Blasco, was awarded the IFDA Selects honor in the textiles category for the Nuances collection's recycled wool felt rugs and poofs designed in collaboration with Patricia Urquiola. At ICFF, Nuances was featured in the Soho Design District booth in the Curve and Line models, two different patterns in Burgundy tones, which combine the main stone gray with delicate rose and deep red. The pouf that complements the collection was also displayed. This latest Urquiola collection for Gan also received the prestigious NYCxDesign Award last week in the residential floor covering category (read story).
