JAIPUR MOVES UP
800 PLACES ON INC. 5000 LIST

NORCROSS, GA - Jaipur Rugs, the award-winning rug, textile and home décor supplier has climbed to the 2,522nd spot in the rankings this year on the Inc. 5000 list.  The company was listed at the 3,337th spot in 2014.

Each year, the Inc. list features the country's top 5,000 fastest-growing private companies ranked according to percentage revenue growth over a four-year period. To be considered for the exclusive club - which gave early exposure to well-known names like Microsoft, Oracle, Zappos and Timberland - companies must be U.S.-based, privately held, and independent.

"We consider it a great honor to be a part of the Inc. 5000 rankings for the second year in a row," says Jaipur Rugs chief executive Asha Chaudhary. "The recognition is a testament to our unique business model, as well as the hard work and dedication of our immensely talented global team. We believe our rise in the rankings this year is directly related to our passion for design and consumers' growing interest in authenticity and meaning in the products they purchase for their homes."

Jaipur is widely credited with revolutionizing the rug business with a global supply chain that connects artisans in some of the world's poorest regions with the world's richest consumers. It's a vertical distribution strategy, delivering all necessary supplies to the artisans' doorsteps, even in the most remote locations.  And, there is little doubt their unique business model is working: Jaipur has seen an increase in growth of 148% in the past three years, with $35 million in annual revenue. The company has also add 75 jobs.

"The story of this year’s Inc. 5000 is the story of great leadership. In an incredibly competitive business landscape, it takes something extraordinary to take your company to the top," says Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. "You have to remember that the average company on the Inc. 5000 grew nearly six-fold since 2012. Business owners don't achieve that kind of success by accident."

This year's list was unveiled online and is featured in the September issue of Inc., which is available on newsstands through Sept. 22. The average company on the list achieved an amazing three-year growth of 490%. The aggregate revenue of companies included on the Inc. 5000 list is more than $200 billion, with 647,000 jobs added to the economy.

Companies that appear on the Inc.500/5000 list are honored during the annual Inc. 5000 Conference & Awards Ceremony, which will take place from Oct. 21 to 23 in Orlando, FL. Speakers include Marcus Lemonis, chairman and chief executive of Camping World and Good Sam Enterprises and host of CNBC's The Profit, Robert Herjavec, shark on ABC's Shark Tank and founder of Herjavec Group; best-selling author Daniel Lubetzky, founder and chief executive of KIND; and Jessica Mah, co-founder and chief executive of inDinero.
