KALEEN WINS AMERICA'S MAGNIFICENT CARPETS AWARD  FOR HAND-KNOTTED DESIGN EXCELLENCE 


Monty Rathi, COO of Kaleen Rugs, accepts the America's Magnificent Carpets Award for for the hand-knotted rug category $0-$30 from Kevin Malkiewicz of AmericasMart at the Friday night awards ceremony.

ATLANTA -- Kaleen Rugs was rewarded for its weaving acumen with a trophy at the 2017 America's Magnificent Carpets Awards held Friday, Jan. 13, at the Westin Peachtree Center ballroom, where Monty Rathi, chief operating officer, accepted the award from Kevin Malkiewicz, vice president of home and rug leasing at AmericasMart.

A transitional design from the Solitaire collection by Kaleen Rugs won the America's Magnificent Carpets Award in the Hand-Knotted/Flat weave category in the $0 - $30 per square foot price range. 

In accepting the award, Rathi said, "My family and I would like to thank our design team and all the Kaleen associates around the world for all their hard work developing and producing our great products. Solitaire is one among many. We would also like to thank all our loyal customers for supporting our company."

The winning Kaleen hand-knotted rug is a transitional ribbed design inspired by tribal motifs.

The ribbed design (SOL09-88), a contemporary take on tribal motifs is hand made in India of 100 percent bamboo silk.
