ATLANTA -- Jaipur Living is on a winning streak, garnering 2017 international accolades that include an America's Magnificent Carpet Award, a Carpet Design Award, an ARTS award for Best in Area Rugs and additional awards in the U.S. and Germany.

AmericasMart also presented a Visual Display award to Jaipur Living for displays and merchandising at the rug maker's 12th floor showroom during the January Atlanta Gift and Home Furnishings Market. The juried awards are held semi-annually during the home furnishings markets at AmericasMart Atlanta to honor the best in visual merchandising in both permanent and temporary showrooms and window displays.

Adding to its accolades, Jaipur Living was named Best Area Rugs Manufacturer on Jan. 20 at the 28th annual ARTS Awards presented by Dallas Market and ART on January 20. Celebrity designer Libby Langdon presents the ARTS award for Best Area Rugs Manufacturer to Jaipur Living's Susan Whitworth and Nicholas Komar, who accepted the award on behalf of the company.
Winning over entries from over 21 countries across the globe, Jaipur's Unstring collection took home a prestigious Carpet Design Award for Best Modern Collection in the 2017 competition at Domotex in Hannover, Germany, in January. The company was also a Carpet Design Award finalist in the Best Traditional Design category for Kamal from the Artisan Originals collection.

Described as a play of a million colored threads, the winning Unstring collection by Kavita Chaudhary was cited by the jury panel at Domotex for its contemporary color combination with a well-conceived design suitable for simply any interior."
Finally, two Jaipur rugs earned special mention for Excellent Product Design in Home Textiles in the German Design Award 2017 for two designs from the company's Free Verse collection. Also designed by Kavita Chaudhary, the rugs in the Free Verse collection are described as deeply rooted in tradition while at the same time being at the forefront of modern design. (

The Taittu design from Jaipur Living's Free Verse collection is inspired by the patterns of a rib knit sweater with hand knotted wool and silk.
Kavita Chaudhary, Design Director, Jaipur Rugs said of the winning design: "This is a huge accomplishment for us and calls for celebration to all our artisans and designers. These rugs are unique pieces of art created through Persian knotting fine silk and wool for almost a year."
The award ceremony for the German Design Award 2017 was held on 10 February on opening day of the Ambiente fair at Messe Frankfurt. The award is the premium prize of the German Design Council, an internationally active institution committed to discovering, presenting and awarding unique design trends.
