LOUIS DE POORTERE NAMES MARK WEST NORTH AMERICAN OPERATIONS DIRECTOR |
MOUSCRON, Belgium -- Area rug and broadloom producer Louis De Poortere has announced the appointment of Mark West as North American Operations Director.
West will report to Alan Russell, export sales director for Louis De Poortere, and will head all sales and marketing for the Belgium-based company in North America. "Mark comes to us with a strong background in flooring, as well as marketing and media experience, which will be a great benefit to our retail customers and our company," said Russell in making the announcement.
West, who officially joined LDP in January, added, "I am looking forward to working with Alan to increase the success of Louis de Poortere in North America. We have a lot of exciting things in store for our dealers and consumers coming in this New Year."
Having lived in Europe for 20 years, West brings to Louis De Poortere a unique understanding of the differences between cultures here and abroad. He says that experience will shape his relationships with corporate and manufacturing personnel overseas as well as customers in the U.S. and Canada. "I am looking forward to meeting all of our sales representatives and dealers, and being available to answer their needs," West said.
Louis de Poortere will exhibit at the upcoming Rug Show at High Point in April at the Suites at Market Square.
