LAS VEGAS SUMMER MARKET WILL BE BIGGEST IN 10 YEARS

LAS VEGAS -- The Summer Las Vegas Market, opening this Sunday, July 31, will be the biggest in the Market's 10-year history with a record-breaking 3,100-plus resources in permanent showrooms and temporary exhibit spaces. Commensurate gains are expected in retailer attendance with pre-registration pacing ahead of last summer, which was the largest summer market to date for Las Vegas Markets. The Summer 2016 Las Vegas Market runs Sunday, July 31, through Thursday, August 4.

"Our focused, strategic growth plan for Las Vegas Market has succeeded and product resources and retailer registrations are hitting all-time Market highs this Summer," said Bob Maricich, CEO of International Market Centers. "Las Vegas Market is continuing its extraordinary transformation from an exclusive furniture event into the fastest growing furniture, home décor and gift destination in the western U.S., and THE national bedding market."

Summer Market is the biggest it has ever been, with skyrocketing numbers of new and expanded showrooms and the largest-ever presentation of temporary exhibits.  Summer Las Vegas Market features an unprecedented 3,100-plus furniture, gift and home decor resources in three permanent showroom buildings and four temporary exhibition locations. More than 118,500-square-feet of showroom space has been added for Summer Market, with 66 new, expanding and relocating showrooms on 23 floors campus-wide. In total, the Summer 2016 market will present more than five million square feet of product in a wide range of categories and price points.

Adding to the already established furniture offering, buyers will find an additional 70,000 square feet of new and expanded furniture showrooms, including the debut of La-Z-Boy Casegoods Brands (Kinkaid, Hammary and American Drew), showing for the first time in Las Vegas. Other key expansions and introductions include Donny Osmond Home for Coaster, K-Motion, United Furniture, Dormeo, TOV Furniture, Flair Design, Kuka Home, and COZZIA USA, The Summer Market also will showcase the largest casual and outdoor presentation to date in Las Vegas, with more than 180 resources across campus and a major concentration on C12 and C13.

Home decor continues to expand throughout the campus, adding 21,500-square-feet of showroom space. Floors A3, A4 and B4 are at full occupancy; B3, C3, C4 and C6 are more than 90 percent occupied. Summer highlights include the returns to Market of Currey & Co. (after an eight-year hiatus) and Ann Gish, the debut of Peacock Park and expansions by leading brands including Giftcraft, HomArt, Leftbank Art, Park Hill, Roberta Schilling and Uttermost.

Temporary exhibitors continue to flock to Las Vegas Market, with the Summer Market boasting the largest number of temporary exhibitors in its history--more than 500 resources in at four locations. Furniture temporary exhibits on B2 are sold out for the seventh straight Market with more than 100 exhibitors; 20 of which are newcomers. Casual and outdoor temporaries on C13 continue to grow, with some 20 first-time exhibitors debuting this Summer. The Pavilions at Las Vegas Market will showcase nearly 400 exhibitors -- 191 of which are showing for the first time in Las Vegas -- in 80,000-square-feet in two locations. Pavilion 1 highlights include the debut of the debut of B HOME, a new curated luxury showcase of high-end furniture and home decor products; and Artisanal LA a Pop-Up showcase of LA based undiscovered makers featuring products with a focus on edibles, home goods, garden and kids. In Pavilion 2, Discoveries: The Antique Vintage Marketplace continues to expand, with more than 65 companies showing antique, vintage and one-of-a-kind merchandise this Summer. Distinguished Transports will provide white glove onsite shipping service to buyers.

Attendance at Summer Market also is expected to meet or exceed record levels, with overall pre-registrations in all buyer categories up from Summer 2015, with gift retailer pre-registrations showing a double digit increase. To accommodate this growth, a number of infrastructure enhancements -- such as additional parking, extra shuttle buses, supplementary registration kiosks and more food vendors -- will debut at the Summer Market.

In addition to individual registrants, more than 23 associations and buying groups -- including newest partners Casual Classics, Good Toy Group and PRESENTer Network -- will convene at Summer Market to network, learn, and shop. Representing the home furnishings and gift industries, as well as the interior design community, many associations are hosting educational seminars, tours and other at-Market networking events.
