NEW YORK
- Rug companies continue to test the market's appetite for
cross-category expansions under their labels, as evidenced by home decor
introductions at last week's NY NOW by Summit Rugs, Safavieh Couture,
Pasargad, Auskin and more. Also trending was a return to opulent weaves
and classic patterns at one end of the spectrum, while at the other end
attendees found a fresh assortment of the bohemian, vintage and global
handcrafted style for which the show is known. Following is our
"shopping the show" wrap-up.
