NULOOM LAUNCHES NEW
WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
NEW YORK -
Through the implementation of a new warehouse management system in its Cranbury,
NJ warehouse, Nuloom is now shipping orders to customers within 24 hours. The
company began the new initiative Feb. 1.
Due to the
strategic location of the 106,000-square-foot facility, Nuloom says it is
delivering rugs to more than half the country's population within three business
days. Increased shipping speed will also reduce the likelihood of
pre-fulfillment cancellations which plague retailers dealing with slower lead
times.
"In today's
retail environment, customers expect their items to arrive fast. With this
improvement we're on par with Amazon and can deliver an excellent experience for
all customers," said Nuloom president, Nicole Yaraghi, of the system, noting it
took about eight months to implement the new technology and change the workflows
in the warehouse.
