Capel Rugs will give away a Kindle Fire tablet Monday, January 30 through Wednesday, February 1. The company will also offer a shipping promotion at the 2012 winter market. All new rug orders at the Las Vegas event and through February 15 will be sent as available with no shipping charge.

Jaipur will unveil a new contemporary collection of rugs designed by Chayse Dacoda. Dacoda, known for her work on TLC’s While You Were Out and HGTV’s Get It Together, will join Jaipur for an official launch event from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Kas will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a cocktail party. The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
The company will also host several market specials and door prizes including a drawing to be held at 6:30 for a Kindle Fire and an Amazon Gift card.

The Design Icon Award recognizes an interior or furniture designer who has made a significant contribution to the industry. The award celebrates modern-day design legends and gives them a platform to share their stories and inspire others. Drake’s other acknowledgements include the IFDA New York Circle of Excellence for Interior Design and the Andrew Martin International Designer of the Year. His work has been widely published in top-tier media outlets, including Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, House Beautiful, The New York Times and Interior Design, and he has appeared on Bloomberg TV, CNN and HGTV over the years.

Antiques in Modern Rooms
Presented by interior designer, scholar and author Thomas Jayne
This presentation discusses how Jayne integrates antiques into contemporary environments and modern settings. Jayne will show examples of his own work and share how his own background in traditional decoration and classical design helped shape his approach to working on present day rooms. Lecture to be followed by a book signing featuring Jayne's recent book, “The Finest Rooms in America: 50 Influential Interiors from the 18th century to the Present,†his selection of the best American rooms covering a range of periods and styles.
In addition, a first-time buyer’s orientation will be available Jan. 30 and 31 to help new-to-market attendees maximize buying time and inform them about the many resources, destinations, seminars and events that Las Vegas Market has to offer. The seminar will take place at 10 a.m. both days in Building C, Suite C-368.
