NOURISON'S PRISMATIC RUG FEATURED IN IFDA 'BEST IN SHOW' AWARD-WINNING DISPLAY AT NY NOW

NEW YORK-- Nourison's show-stopping Prismatic area rug (PRS08) was featured in the winter 2019 NY Now award-winning Transcend Space designed by Francis Toumbakaris.
"We have worked with Francis numerous times on his vignettes for Design on a Dime," said Nourison's Kimberly Weling. "Francis is very familiar with our products, and has been wanting to use one of our Prismatic rugs in a project and thought this Prismatic design was the perfect match!"

Toumbakaris, a New York interior designer, created the Booth 3812 vignette as part of the home furnishings show's new Transcend vignettes, presented in the Home Collection of the market. NY Now's winter edition runs through Wednesday, Feb. 5 noon, and opened on Sunday, Feb. 3. The debuting Transcend Design displays feature curated spaces created by iconic designers, including Toumbakaris and NYC celebrity designers Robin Baron and Vanessa Deleon, among others.
"His vision is always well thought out and executed and we love his design aesthetic," Welling said. "We are thrilled to be a part of this luxurious space and among the amazing brands showcased. Congratulations to Francis for designing such a gorgeous Transcend space. We are so excited that it won the IFDA award for Best in NY Now Show -- Art for winter 2019."
Also part of the design is the iconic Mah Jong sofa from french design atelier Roche Bobois, originally designed by Hans Hopfer in 1971, and reimagined in Missoni Home fabrics.
The IFDA Selects award was launched in 2014 and includes NY Now's summer and winter fairs, the Architectural Digest Design Show, ICFF and Brooklyn Designs. In addition, this year, IFDA National will hand out its first awards at High Point Market. Said Su Hilty, FIFDA, "It's all about NY trade shows and hence NY Now. Plus NY Now is a New York chapter silver sponsor and also hosts our bi-annual color seminar presentation. We have had such color luminaries as Nancy Fire, Betsy Karp, Libby Langdon, Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, Pantone, & Trend House among others."
