DOMOTEX 2016 ADDS U.S. RUG EXHIBITORS

HANNOVER - Rug buyers and designers attending DOMOTEX 2016 will see three U.S.-based exhibitors for the first time at the show, along with returning American companies spanning the gamut from high-end hand-knotteds to machine made offerings.

These exhibitors are among a roster of close to 400 in the soft-surface floor covering category from around the world.  In addition to NuLOOM (read more here), high-end rug makers Rug & Kilim and Rug Art International will debut at the 2016 edition of DOMOTEX, to be held January 16-19.

Josh Nazmiyal, founder of Rug & Kilim, told RugNews.com that he is excited to introduce his new line of Scandinavian flat weaves to the international audience at the show. The collection, which is crafted in India in innovative textures and yarn combinations, was launched in the U.S. in 2015 and has met with great success in the wholesale arena, which is new for the company. "We are now a full-fledged wholesaler, and do a number of other collections as well.  We are excited to show be showing our capabilities to a broader audience at DOMOTEX," Nazmiyal explained.

Returning U.S. exhibitors at this year's show include luxury carpet makers Ariana, Art Resources, New Moon, and Wool and Silk. and international companies Zollanvari, Oriental Weavers and Jaipur Rugs. Additionally, Orian will exhibit with Mc Three Carpets, and Tufenkian will show through its European division.

Buyers will also find companies with U.S. offices but headquarters overseas. Among them are Louis De Poortere, Obeetee, Tissage and Balta.
