TRANS-OCEAN RECEIVES RUGS DIRECT 'PARTNER OF THE YEAR' AWARD AT ATLANTA INTERNATIONAL RUG MARKET

ATLANTA -- E-commerce retailer Rugs Direct presented its annual award for "Partner of the Year" to Trans-Ocean at the July 2017 Atlanta International Rug Market, citing Rugs Direct's outstanding growth in sales of Trans-Ocean rugs and mats over the past year, and the vendor's superior customer engagement and high-end, good-looking products.
"Our business with Trans-Ocean was up about 20 percent last year and they contributed the highest volume last year. They did an outstanding job as usual," said Bill Martin, executive vice president, chief merchandising officer of Rugs Direct, based in Winchester, Virginia. "We have a great rapport with Liora Manne, Charley Peck and Dean Smith. They are always looking to push the envelope with fresh new product. Their customer service is outstanding, and they ship really well."
"Our business last year was accelerated by their mat program. Trans-Ocean's mat are nicer than average and the pet designs are clever, a heart tug. At $19-$49, they're an impulse buy that people don't spend hours researching on the internet," Martin continued. "Liora's designs show so well online and their colors are great. The mats, along with their indoor and outdoor rugs helped Trans-Ocean beat out the competition," Martin said.
Indoor-outdoor mats with clever pet motifs were a winner for Rugs Direct, and helped Trans-Ocean become retailer's 2017 Partner of the Year.
