KALATY WINS AMERICA'S MAGNIFICENT CARPETS AWARD FOR HIGH-END HAND- KNOTTED REVERIE COLLECTION

The Reverie collection by Kalaty -- one of the company's most luxurious hank-knotted ranges -- won a 2018 America's Magnificent Carpets Award.

ATLANTA -- Kalaty was awarded the America's Magnificent Carpets Award in the hand-knotted/flatweave category at a celebration during last week's Atlanta International Area Rug Market featuring the National Oriental Rug Show (NORS)

The company won in the category of $50.01-$100 per square foot with its Reverie collection design in the zinc and azure colorway. Featuring classic design motifs reworked in tonal colorations and with a modern erased look, the Reverie collection is among Kalaty's most luxurious lines and among its top two highest qualities. The fine hand-knotted weave is made with a combination of premium wool and Silkette.

Above and below, on display at the Museum of Introductions, Kalaty's Reverie rug, with its intricate weave and erased styling, took home a 2018 America's Magnificent Carpets Award.

Ramin Kalaty, president of Kalaty Rug Corporation and also the current president of ORIA, said "We are truly honored to have won this prestigious award. It's even more of an honor to win for one of our finest hand-knotted weaves. The judges were likely drawn to this Reverie collection rug for its updated-classic look, erased-weave motifs, soft colors and heirloom quality. We feel that the wool and Silkette construction also likely contributed to our winning rug's overall visual and textural appeal."
