ATLANTA - Surya previewed its new interactive custom art program during Atlanta international Rug Market last week, and RugNews.com  got a sneak peek prior to the official unveiling at Dallas and Las Vegas markets.  The program, which goes live on Surya.com later this month, gives dealers a point of difference in the marketplace, and consumers the opportunity to personalize wall art to their own tastes and budgets.  Made in the U.S., the custom-specified art work can be shipped in as little as five business days.

Although consumers go through the custom order process online on Surya's website, the checkout cash register links through to an approved dealer on a listed network.  "Dealer protection is key," Satya Tiwari, president, Surya said.

Consumers will be able to browse and order art work from an archive of more than 7,000 curated images spanning a wide variety of subjects and styles. The diverse art work library contains thousands of limited editions along with exclusive works from more than 100 artists - ranging from contemporary to transitional to traditional looks.

"Today's design savvy consumers are looking to create personalized living spaces that speak to their individual style and make a unique statement," said Tiwari.  "Our new custom art program addresses this need by providing almost limitless art options while also offering the highest level of craftsmanship and quick turnaround times, all at a very affordable price point."

At Surya showrooms, dealers will see the customization process in action.  Remarkably simple, the steps include choosing an image from a series of categories, and then specify the desired medium, framing options and size to create a custom piece. Up to half a million custom configurations will be available.

The demo will be shown Jan. 18 to 22 at Surya's Las Vegas showroom (WMC C400), which is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
