OPENS NY SHOWROOM
Mohamed Sabry in new New York showroom
NEW YORK -- Sabry Rug & Textiles has opened its first New York showoom, located at 295 Fifth Ave. "This is an exciting event for us because the New York Home Fashions Market is the natural market for our products," Mohamed Sabry, president, told Rugnews.com.
"Our product line is directed primarily at mass market stores such as discounters and Big Box specialists," said
Sabry is focused on the 20 largest accounts in the U.S., and the company is deeply involved in product development of private label rugs for these stores, Sabry noted. "Essentially, I am a rug tailor," he explained. "My customers tell me what they want at a certain price point and then I develop a product that is tailor-made to suit their needs."
Sabry's rugs are machine-made, with retail prices up to $129 and emphasis on the $79 retail price point.
With the opening in New York, Sabry has closed its Atlanta showroom, he noted.
