NULOOM WILL EXHIBIT AT DOMOTEX 2016

At its debut exhibit at DOMOTEX 2016, NuLOOM will premiere a machine made printed wool collection from India.

NEW YORK - With an eye toward expanding European market share, NuLOOM has signed on as an exhibitor at DOMOTEX 2016 to be held January 16-19 in Hannover, Germany.

At its 830-square-foot booth in Hall 3, the company will showcase current collections as well as two new lines to be introduced at DOMOTEX.  According to NuLOOM president Koorosh Yaraghi, two dozen shag products specifically designed for Europe will also be unveiled at the international carpet and floor covering show.

Yaraghi concurrently announced that NuLOOM has closed a deal on a small distribution center near Hannover, which will be operational in January 2016. "We already sell in Europe because many of the internet companies we deal with have some sort of presence in the EU and the UK," Yaraghi explained. "We will now be able to drop ship within 24 hours throughout continental Europe and the UK, which will change things dramatically for these customers."

A key benefit of exhibiting at DOMOTEX, Yaraghi says, will be having a physical place to showcase NuLOOM's complete range of products from China, India and Turkey.  "An exhibit space gives us more flexibility in working with European companies.  Over the years I have met with customers in Hannover during the show, but it would to be at lunch or dinner.  Now I can actually invite them to the booth for meetings.  The presentation will be much more elegant."

Yaraghi expects to broaden his company's customer base beyond online retailers at DOMOTEX. "Surprisingly to me, many of the retailers I thought would be going to Maison and Objet are going to DOMOTEX to shop for rugs.  In some cases they will want to buy container goods from us, and that is one of the areas we excel in, especially now with the new distribution center."

"It is very easy for a department store or big box retailer to piggy back off our production, because we've done all the work for them.  They have access to over 1800 different designs in a quick way.  We have the designs and we have the colors. It's just a matter of placing the order," Yaraghi says.

NuLOOM tacks on a 10 percent to 15 percent markup depending on the product revenue stream, and that fee equates to a designer's licensing fee, he explains.  "A big box or department store in Europe can obviously go to India and China to produce rugs themselves to save the markup.  But others don't have the time and resources to design and produce their own rugs."

At DOMOTEX 2016, NuLOOM will unveil a new collection called Dynasty, featuring raised elements to create the fashionable erased weave look.

The two new collections debuting at DOMOTEX are Dynasty, which includes six traditional Persian designs with raised elements that gives the high end designer erased weave look "at a fraction of the price in that world," Yaraghi says. The second collection is a printed wool line from India, which he says gives a more expensive wool look in a machine-made rug.

"The lines we will offer in Europe are nearly identical to what is sold in the U.S. except that the sizes are different.  The one exception is the new shags which have been designed and colored for the European aesthetic," he said.
