ATLANTA - A crowning achievement for both Jaipur Rugs and AmericasMart, the new
8,257-square foot Jaipur showroom on the 12th floor of
Building 1 was bustling throughout The Atlanta International Gift & Home
Furnishings Market and The Atlanta International Rug Market in
early January.
Strategically, AmericasMart's goal in Building 1 is to integrate its rug
and home decor showrooms to reflect the cross-category buying
preferences of consumers, designers and retailers. It will also enhance
traffic across all floors. The strategy dovetails with ongoing efforts
of rug companies like Jaipur to expand market share by offering
customers total home furnishings solutions.
"The
continued integration of RUG and HOME throughout the expansive Building
1 realigns the building's product mix with the way buyers shop,
featuring complete and highly styled displays that inspire creative
design while sharing the products that modern, design-conscious
consumers truly want,"ÂÂ explained Dave Savula, executive vice president
in charge of AmericasMart Home and Gift leasing, at the Jaipur showroom
ribbon cutting ceremony.

Indeed,
the new showroom affords Jaipur extra space needed for creative
displays of integrated home décor categories. "As Jaipur continues to
develop beyond the boundaries of a rug business, it made sense to move
from the third floor to the home furnishings floor and expand our
space," said Jaipur CEO Asha Chaudhary. "By incorporating more home
décor and accessories pieces such as pillows, poufs and throws, Jaipur's
Atlanta show space will easily become a destination showroom for
interior designers and home store businesses,"Â she added.

interior designer, Suzanne Kasler, concurred. The guest of honor at a
January 11th luncheon and book signing to celebrate the new
Jaipur showroom, Kasler told RugNews.com she was impressed with Jaipur's
new themed displays and with the breadth of product available within
each look. The Kasler event concluded the first Design Camp, Atlanta,
which packed the theater at AmericasMart with over 600 interior
designers for a two-day program hosted by HGTV stars and Design
Camp founders, Lori Dennis and Kelli Ellis.

Jaipur's
showroom exuded a brand personality that is distinct in its categories,
reflecting an organic look conjuring boutiques in hip design districts
of NY, LA and London. Displays always told multi-layered stories, with
rugs, poufs, pillows and throws seamlessly integrated throughout.
