MARK D. SIKES FOR ANNIE SELKE 'COAST TO COAST' COLLECTION HITS RETAIL

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Mark D. Sikes for Annie Selke 'Coast to Coast' collection, which previewed at spring's High Point Market, launched at retail this week with rugs, bedding, decorative pillows and throws.

Massachusetts-based Annie Selke, which sells wholesale to specialty stores and direct to consumer on its website and at its two Massachusetts stores, is offering eight rug designs by Sikes in a choice of colorways.

West Coast designer Mark D. Sikes and Annie Selke of the eponymous Annie Selke LLC, have collaborated on a collection of rugs and bedding called Coast to Coast.

Known for creating timeless interiors that embody an indoor/outdoor lifestyle, Sikes mixes American and European styles, traditional and modern and new and old sensibilities in his interior designs. Of the collection he says, "It's all about how to mix East and West Coast styles. The East Coast traditional checks, stripes and florals mix with West Coast bohemian paisleys, embroiders and batiks. This mix and the layers are what make this collection or any room feel comfortable, casual and inviting."

In Sikes' collection for Annie Selke, which will be on show at Anne Selke showrooms in Atlanta and Las Vegas for summer markets, rugs are loom woven in either cotton or jute and jacquard woven in wool.
