AMERICASMART PREPARES FOR JANUARY MARKET
WITH CAMPUS ENHANCEMENTS
ATLANTA - Together with strategic expansions in key product categories,
AmericasMart will launch a series of enhancements across its 7.1 million sq. ft.
campus in preparation for the 2015 Atlanta International Gift and Home
Furnishings Market, January 6 to 13 and The Atlanta International Area Rug
Market featuring the National Oriental Rug Show sponsored by The Oriental Rug
Importers Association (ORIA), January 7 to 10.
Centerpiece of the Home and Design collection on Floor 15 in Building 1 will be
the new Designer Workspace created to accommodate the on-site client
consultation need of designers at Market and in daily non-Market attendance.
The Designer Workspace is a 6,000 sq. ft. space where designers can review
product specifications sourced from exhibitors, develop working design sketches
and study product details.
A new Floor 6 bridge between the Home and Rug collection in Building 1 and the
Gift collection in Building 2 completes yet another path through all three
AmericasMart buildings - ultimately ending in the permanent Immediate Resources
collection on Floor 7 in Building 3. Complementing the new bridge is an update
to the Floor 6 elevator lobby, matching it to those on Floor 4 and Floor 5.
The new Café on 14 on Building 2 Floor 14 enhances the shopping experience by
allowing buyers to stay in the building during their Market breaks. The café is
open daily for breakfast and lunch during the Market.
The January 2015 Markets set the launch of new lead retrieval services. Offered
to both permanent and temporary exhibitors, the devices offer quick badge
scanning, easy lead qualifying and note taking, and organized follow up.
AmericasMart also continues to update the AmericasMart app, launched at the
January 2014 Market. The app delivers a greatly enhanced customer experience by
making it easier for buyers to discover and explore new and existing exhibitors,
categories, lines and products and to make note of Market events and promotions.
