HEALTH UPDATE
FROM
LISSA WYMAN:
SORRY TO MISS SUMMER MARKETS

NEW YORK -- Nobody loves Markets more than me, but I will have to miss this month's Summer events in Atlanta and Las Vegas.

I have been undergoing treatment for squamous celll lung cancer since March and I am pleased to say that the chemotherapy seems to be workingl But the doctors at NYU Cancer Center want to give it another good whallop, so I am going through another two or three months of once-a-week chemotherapy.

Fortunately, I am able to  work and report on the rug industry. I thank all my friends for keeping me up to date on all the news.

Unfortunately, I'm a little weak after receiving chemo, so the doctors feel I should stay home rather than gallivanting  around the countryside talking about rugs and taking pictures of retailers. (Those docs have no souls).

Please send me news and pictures from the markets, so we can get our usual blow-by-blow accounts of market happenings. Send to LWyman@rugnews.com and look for Mary Welch, our Atlanta-based freelance writer who will be hitting the showrooms on our behalf.

I thank you all for your support and tremendous outpouring of love and prayers. It works!  Thank you, too, for not losing confidence in www.rugnews.com as your source for industry news.

See you this Fall!
