MOMENI NAMES PAT AND STEPHANIE SHAW TO HEAD NEW BROADLOOOM DIVISION
CARLSTADT, NJ -- The husband-wife team of Pat and Stephanie Shaw has been named to head the new Broadloom Division of Momeni, according to Reza Momeni, president.
During the past five years, the Shaws has been instrumental in developing broadloom divisions for several rug importers.
Pat Shaw, an industry veteran, has over 50 years' experience in all aspects of the floor covering industry. He was the Global Product Manager for carpet and rugs at Expo Design Center, a division of Home Depot, where he oversaw the development of these categories and others during the years of rapid store expansion.
Earlier, he was Vice President at Shaw Industries from 1982 to 1985 specializing in the contract carpet business and styling of residential carpet.
He began his career in floor covering at Carson Pirie Scott 's wholesale division, which was a the largest floor covering distributor in the 50’s, 60's, 70's and 80's. During his years with Carson’s he became VP in charge of product sales and marketing. Since that time Pat was president of carpet mills and owned a high-end chain of retail stores.
Stephanie Shaw has an extensive background in interior design, covering both the commercial and residential sectors. After early experience as a high school teacher, she began her career in home furnishings in sales and design of commercial furniture. She has also spent many years in the luxury custom carpet and rug business. She is known for her ability to select color, predict trends, future styles and customer tastes..
