DELOS, OBEETEE AND ZOLLANVARI
EXPAND ATLANTA SHOWROOMS

ATLANTA --  Obeetee, Zollanvari and Delo have  completed major showroom expansions at AmericasMart Atlanta.

The Delos showroom has moved  to 6C6-8 and has more than doubled its showroom. The new space measures 1,800 sq. ft.

The Obeetee showroom, 5F6-8 now occupies 5,400 square feet.

Zollanvari, at 5D2, has expanded to over 3,700 sq. ft.

"These three companies bring tremendous quality, individuality and diversity to our market center and to our industry,€VbCrLf states Chas Sydney, senior vice president of floor coverings and new business development. "While perhaps different in approach and audience, each company complements the others, and adds diversity and variety to the Area Rug Center.€VbCrLf

Delos is a relative newcomer to the  area rug industry. Known for its leadership in contemporary design,   Delos brings a modern sensibility to quality, old-world craftsmanship. The company markets both hand tufted and hand knotted collections.

"The hard work of our team during the past year created the need for a larger showroom in Atlanta, and the perfect space finally became available,€VbCrLf said Ivan Phillips, president. "Our Atlanta showroom is far and away the best and most appropriate use of our money. We are focused on what we do and are very excited about the future.€VbCrLf

An AmericasMart exhibitor since 1997, Obeetee has been in business since 1920. The company is one of India's largest producers and exporters of hand-knotted, hand-tufted and flat-woven rugs. In 1997, Obeetee, Inc.,  was established in New York  to facilitate product marketing and distribution in North America.

"We have  been interested in expanding our Atlanta showroom for quite some time,€VbCrLf said  Bill Ward, chief executive officer of Obeetee.  " Atlanta is  the most important market of the year for us so expanding proved a natural next step.

Founded near the turn of the 20th Century in southern Iran, the Zollanvari name has  a long tradition in the Oriental carpet trade.  Family-owned and operated,  Zollanvari  obtains its carpets from different nomadic tribes in the Zagros Mountains and all products are produced from 100% hand-spun new wool and natural colors.  Collections represent both modern and traditional design elements.

"AmericasMart  has made incredible strides over the past few years,€VbCrLf said Sanjay Purohit, Zollanvari's North American ceo. "Traffic is up, the customers are here, and the marketing and sales support is unprecedented. We're excited and look to July market with great anticipation.€VbCrLf
