07012005 Cocord Global and Smyrna to Share AMC Showroom
CONCORD GLOBAL, SMYRNA TRADING TO SHARE ATLANTA SHOWROOM
ATLANTA -- Concord Global Trading and Smyrna Trading will share a 3,000 sq. ft. showroom at AmericasMart Atlanta. The two importers will be located at 4C9 in the Mart's Area Rug Center.
Both companies had exhibited in temporary space at AmericasMart during the January market.
Concord Global Trading is based in New York and specializes in imported power-loomed contemporary and traditional design rugs from Turkey. The company principals are the husband and wife team of Gulben Aksu and George Bulat. Concord Global Trading was a winner of a Magnificent Carpet Award in January.
Smyrna Trading, headed by Burak Erkoc and Sevket Icen, is headquartered in Atlanta. The company specializes in hand knotted and hand tufted rugs in contemporary and traditional styles. Turkish Oushaks and Indian hand-knotted and hand-tufted rugs are specialties.
