07042018 V Starr Interiors Chooses Natural Luxury Theme for Botaniko Weston Estate Homes

V Starr Interiors specifies a Surya Gemini rug with textural grey and ivory marble motif for a model home with nature inspired decor in luxury Florida residential community, Botaniko Weston.

WESTON, FL -- V Starr Interiors, a design firm founded by professional tennis player Venus Williams in 2002, has announced completion of design standards, a model home and sales center for the Botaniko Weston in Weston, Florida.

Developed by South Florida-based Terra, the private enclave of 125 architecturally-distinctive estate homes in West Broward features a range of 14 different floor plans for buyers to choose from by architects Roney Mateu and Chad Oppenheim, both AIA Fellows. The one- and two-story homes range in size from 4 to 7 bedrooms and 3,500 to 9,700 square feet and are capturing prices from $1.5 million.

For its design, V Starr Interiors reflected the community's lush surroundings in the use of natural materials like leather and fabric with chic metal complements. The majority of the furnishings for the model home were supplied by Artefacto, a leading source for contemporary and classic furnishings.

The model home living area features a hand-tufted Gemini area rug by Surya (GMN-4052) that recreates in viscose the popular trend to natural marble effects in interior furnishings. The space has rhythm and form with natural and highly finished luster materials, less color, and the rug complements this with pops-of-contrast in grey and cream on a neutral background.

The Gemini area rug by Surya complements the rhythm and form of the interiors designed by V Starr Interiors for a Botaniko Weston model home in Florida.

A bedroom of the estate home is anchored by a hand-tufted wool and viscose Banshee rug, also by Surya. The rugs, according V Starr Interiors, fit the design intent for this area of Botaniko: an elegant and approachable look with clean lines and a play of textures.

An abstract design in seaside tones of blue and sand from Surya's Banshee rug collection is featured in V Starr Interiors' design for a model home bedroom at the Botaniko Weston.

"We highlighted the architectural elements with clean lines and organic touches that bring that outside in," says Sonya Haffey, Vice President of V Starr Interiors. "The interiors are just as luxurious as the landscapes surrounding the property."

"We are thrilled to work with such an incredible interior design firm as V Starr to help implement our vision of bringing world-class architecture and modern design to suburban West Broward," said David Martin, president of Terra. "The overall vision for Botaniko is to reflect the natural surroundings and showcase design that exudes a connection to nature, and V Starr has created an interior environment that is as sophisticated and beautiful as it is natural and functional."

In the sales office for the Botaniko Weston, and throughout the model home V Starr Interiors specified most products from Artefacto.

Combining Williams' value for excellence as an athlete with her passion for design, V Starr Interiors is a full-service commercial and residential interior design firm, with high-profile clients such as InterContinental Hotels, Midtown Athletic Club and The Hotel at Midtown, Curio by Hilton, Related Group and Howard University, among others. The company is based in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Surya has increasingly focused attention on building its interior design client base in recent years, and last month opened its first to the trade showroom at The Merchandise Mart in Chicago.
